A whip saw is a narrow blade saw with a handle at both ends typically used by two people to cut a log, applying significant thrusting, arm strength in a back and forth motion until through the log. Can you visualize that?

In my world, I use the whip saw analogy to describe the occasional violent price swings in stock prices. You know, the kind of unnerving, steep declines that turn to sharp increases in the same day leaving us asking what’s just happened only to have that process repeat itself the following day or even over a period of days.

I get the discomfort and fear periods like this cause. We’re all human, including yours truly. And we’re programmed to take whatever steps necessary to escape fear. Especially when it comes to our savings.

Let me try to put your mind at ease. The sky is not falling. My analysis sees opportunity developing. I call that my plan B. What’s your plan B? Maybe it’s time you and I talk.
